Want To Build A Review Website? Look No Further!

Whether you’re an affiliate marketer interested in building a high quality review site, or simply a business owner that would like to promote your product or service, a review site may be just what you’re looking for.

Providing a good looking, high quality review of a product or service is a sure fire way to make a sale.  I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve done preliminary research on a particular product before buying, and I always want to compare similar products or services to find the best deal for my money.  And being in the internet marketing business, it’s easy for me to weed through the junk sites to find exactly what I’m looking for.

I was recently approached by Stephen Carter, who asked if I’d be interested in reviewing a product that he’s recently produced and offered for sale.  Stephen has created an ebook that teaches you the “in’s & out’s” of creating a review site, and also offers some sweet looking web templates as a bonus.  The name of this product is, “Affiliate Review Site Monopoly“.

Having personally been interested in creating some review sites of my own, I was excited to see what Stephen had created.  Immediately, I knew that this product was going to exceed my expectations!

This is not some silly little 10 page overview…this is a 122 page, in depth look at exactly how and why you would want to build a review website.  This ebook provides actual examples showing how others have built very profitable businesses from reviewing products or services, then sharing that information with prospective buyers.

I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to affiliate marketing, and I have to say that I was very impressed with the information that Stephen put into this ebook!  He does a great way of getting your mind thinking and juices flowing so that you will literally be excited to finish the book and get started on your own site!

Lets face it, we trust a product or service when we can hear the experiences other people have had with it.  When a prospective buyer reads reviews and acquires a certain amount of trust, he or she is likely to make a purchase right then and there!

So if this extremely informative ebook wasn’t enough, Stephen (an accomplished software developer), is also throwing in some amazing software that will allow you to create review sites in hours where it would normally take weeks or months!  I’m really excited about this because web design and coding has never been one of my strong points.  With this software, I have no doubt that I’ll be creating several of my own review sites in the coming weeks.  As I do, I’ll post again to show you exactly how the software works and give you some examples of my own sites.

Stephen got his inspiration for this product from Jeremy Palmer of Quit Your Day Job and Black Ink Project.  Jeremy is an affiliate marketer that has had proven successes and is always willing to share his knowledge.  Stephen’s software creates sites that are patterned off Jeremy’s recommendations for successful sites.

If creating a review site is in your future, I highly recommend you take a closer look. I don’t think you’ll find a more informative, step by step guide anywhere. Learn more then download your copy so you can get started today!

Damn. I knew I built the wrong type of site. Heh.

Seriously though, I’ve put a lot of thought into building a real review type of site. My current project is quite near to that, except that it allows the community to do the voting/reviewing. I just need to find a way to turn the traffic into money :(

i also visit review sites to read some valuable information on sites i’m am interested in and some that i may not know about yet… but there is this preconceived notion that review sites have motives for creating those reviews… making the review, well a bit unreliable… what are your thoughts on this?

I love the idea of a review site but am also realistic. It takes a lot of networking and time to build into something worth doing, and given my lack of skillz in the affiliate marketing/blogging arena, I have stayed away from it. But if you have a mind for those things, I think it’s a GREAT concept.

A review site works if it’s brutally honest. The moment readers suspect partisan views, the site is as dead as a door nail. So success means sometimes upsetting the vendors of the products you’re reviewing. Always put the reader before your customers - you need Rhino skin, but you’ll be seen as a site with integrity.

To be honest, I’m sick of bloggers reviewing stuff - 95% of it is pay-for-review and you never hear a bad word. Unless bloggers are all prozac happy and just completely agreeable about everything, I find such reviews useless.

When I search for a review of a product, I *always* get a bunch of websites that are affiliates to the product - they all say the same thing. I actually want to find a real review that says something like “10 great things about this product, 2 things that kind of suck, but are forgiveable”. I don’t want “OMG THIS PRODUCT ROCKS A+++” hyperbole.

In these economically hard times, review sites are more important than ever. We no longer have the income to waste on a “blind buy” and are reliant on review sites to make sure we’re buying and getting what we want.
