Expand Your FHTM or Other Network Marketing Biz With PPC
Dollar for dollar, Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is one of the best “paid” ways to get new customers & leads. Doesn’t matter what business you’re in.
PPC can also max out your credit card or bank account in a hurry if you don’t know what you’re doing!
Google Adwords or one of the other PPC channels, (MSN Adcenter & Yahoo Search Marketing), can get you almost “instant” exposure to all kinds of excellent, targeted leads, but they are not toys to be played around with. I’ve used Google Adwords for a couple of years and have had success, but only because I knew what I was doing. You really have to watch your ROI when you’re using these tools or you can end up blowing a lot of cash for nothing.
I can offer advice if you have specific questions about PPC. I’m happy to do that. And someday I’d like to write a guide on how to use PPC advertising. But to be honest, PPC advertising is “ever changing”…literally, and I simply don’t have the time to be constantly monitoring the changes that are going on, (I feel like I have to read up & re-learn everything each time I go in to create a new campaign!)
I received an email this morning from Jonathan Budd…a heavy hitter in the network marketing. He has created a PPC training course geared “specifically” for the network marketing industry and is about to re-open this course to a limited few, (this is the second time this course has been offered and I understand it was a huge hit the first time).

Would You Ever Join FHTM Poll
A month or two ago I decided I’d take a little informal survey. I was curious to see “who” was visiting my site with regards to FHTM, so I put a little poll up and asked the question, “Would You Ever Join FHTM?”
95 votes later, I’m actually a little surprised by the results. So far, and overwhelming majority, (66%) have said that “No”, they wouldn’t join. I really expected that number to be lower, but it is what it is. It’s possible that people could have voted more than once and skewed the results, but I’m guessing that overall…they’re fairly accurate.
So it makes you wonder what reasons people have for saying that “would not” join? I wonder if this would apply to “MLM’s” in general or if it’s specific to FHTM? (I now have the question for my next poll
)
Got thoughts? Please share… Got questions? Please ask.
If you’re one of the people who would like to join FHTM or are considering it, and you would like to talk to someone about joining…let me know. I’ve been approached by a couple of teams that go out of their way to help new reps. You’re not required to join a local team so you might be better off and get more support from a team that is located in another state. Please use the contact form and I’ll pass along your information.
Network Marketing Leads & How To Get Them
If you’ve looked around my blog any, you are probably aware that I wrote some articles about FHTM that gained a lot of attention over the last year or two. At the time, I wasn’t really trying to generate traffic with the articles, but I soon found out just how important these articles were to my blog.
While I’m not a huge fan of MLM’s & Network Marketing companies in general but I know there are a lot of people out there are. What I am skilled at is generating traffic to websites. If your skeptical about that claim, just do a Google search of “fhtm” or “fortune hi tech marketing” and see where this blog ranks, (at time of writing…#2 behind the FHTM company itself). What does that mean? Lots of web traffic and potential leads.
I personally think that if you’re going to succeed in an MLM these days, you MUST be establishing your presence on the web. Sure…you can probably get some leads and sign-ups from your circle of friends…but you are going to be very limited here, right? There are millions and millions of people searching the internet right now, for what you have to offer. YOU can connect with that person or you can procrastinate and let someone else give that potential lead what they’re looking for. What are you going to do?
So I’m going to start offering some internet markeing & traffic generating tips on this blog. Why would I do this you ask? With each article I write, my blog is generating new visitors. New visitors = more money in the way of advertising and affiliate offers that may be purchased via my blog. So yes…I have something to gain by all this, “provided” I give you what you’re looking for. It’s a “win – win” in my book.
So…be looking for tips on creating a blog or website, how to target specific keywords to generate “targeted” web visitors, (you know…the kind that actually want to buy or sign up for what you have to offer).
And I’m intrigued by the world of network marketing and MLM’s. I find myself fascinated by the marketing & promotion that these companies do. I’ve seen some absolutely rabid fans for particular MLM’s and I intend to dig a little deeper and find out why that is. So I’m going to do some research and start profiling some different MLM’s to see what is really at their core.
So bookmark this site and visit when you can. If you have questions, there is a “Contact” link at the top of this page. Let me know what you’re interested in and I’ll try to help. I can’t make any guarantee’s on how quickly I can respond, but I’ll do my best.
Best of luck!

FHTM Success; The Only Way To Get There
Here’s a tip for anyone in network marketing…you’re success is going to depend on how many people you can reach on the internet. Contacting the people in your “circle of friends & family”, just isn’t going to do it!
I’m an internet marketer. I’ve been in this business long enough to know and understand what it takes to succeed. Just putting up a website isn’t going to do it folks. A website is no good if no one ever sees it.
I’m not sure how you arrived at this site. Maybe a friend told you about it? Most likely, you did a Google search for “fhtm” or “fortune hi tech marketing” and guess what popped up? It’s no accident that my site has one of THE top spots in Google for the fhtm search term. What could you do if you had hundreds of people visiting your site each day, hungry for knowledge about fhtm? Think you could convince a few of them to join up with you?
There is a science to getting top search engine rankings like this. It’s not hard to do, but it ’s not random either.
Think about your current situation. Are you in FHTM and needing more reps? Are you thinking about joining? How many people are in your circle…better yet…how many people are in your local area? If you’ve been in FHTM for any amount of time, my guess is you’ve pretty much exhausted your local pool of potential recruits. (Not to mention the guy next to you on the train may be trying to sign up the same people you’re planning to call next week!) Lets face it…there is a finite number of people that you can meet with face to face! Maybe it’s 100, maybe it’s 1,000, maybe it’s 10,000…but at some point, you gotta stop, or move on to another city to keep growing.
Or do you?
Guess what…if you know how to market yourself on the internet, there is an UNLIMITED amount of potential recruits out there! Below is a portion of a screen shot from the Google Keyword Tool where you can check how many people searched for a particular term in recent months.

Search for "FHTM" on Google In January 2010
You can see that the term, “fhtm” was searched for some 74,000 times in a month! How many of those people were looking for someone to take them by the hand and help them get signed up! (How many of them visited my website
) Not all these people are potential recruits, but many are. You MUST get yourself in front of these people if you want to succeed in FHTM!
So you’re probably asking yourself…”Chris…why aren’t you capitalizing on all these people since they’re all visiting your website?” Fact of the matter is…I’m not a big fan of network marketing and MLM’s. I’m a computer person…I know how to drive traffic to websites. I’m also have no desire to try and teach others how to access all these other people, but I did find someone who does just that. His name is Jonathan Budd.
Jonathan has put together a “start to finish” program that shows you “exactly” what you need to know to get yourself on the web and how to start getting your share of those 74,000 FHTM searches each month.
As I said…I’m not a big fan of network marketing, but I have to say that I’m very impressed with what this guy has accomplished, (over and over), in such a short time! Whats cool about his program is that it’s specifically tailored to “network marketers” so you get the information that pertains to what you’re trying to accomplish.
I can tell you this…at this moment…Jonathan is making a very sweet offer on his training package …an offer you can’t (or wouldn’t want to) pass up. I can’t guarantee how long he’s going to make this special offer. You can follow through, learn more about this guy, or you can just blow this off, pick up the phone and make a couple more cold calls to people that really don’t want to be bothered. It’s up to you.
I know one thing for certain…”the early bird gets the worm”. If you wait…if you delay…then you’re losing customers. It’s that simple. Learn what it takes to successfully market yourself on the internet and it doesn’t matter if you’re in FHTM or any other business…you will be miles ahead of your competition!
Best of luck to you!
FHTM Post Must Move
It’s been a hot topic over the last year or so. Right now, this post has accumulated almost 750 comments!
Needless to say, when someone goes to read the post and read the comments, it’s terribly slow. I’m really going to have to do something about it. I’m contemplating moving everything “FHTM”, to a “forum” type format. I think this would make it easier to read and respond. I’m going to play around with this type of arrangement and see how it will work. Maybe have both the blog post and the forum for a while?
Thanks to everyone that visits and comments. I’ll post more info when I re-arrange some things.
