Do You “Follow”?

This evening, I joined the “I follow” movement! What is that, you ask? When you leave a comment on a Wordpress blog, a “no follow” tag is automatically inserted, so the link is not spidered by the search engines. The code that causes this to happen was originally designed to curb “comment spam”, but it hasn’t been effective. When you leave a comment on someone’s blog, and they’ve not disabled the “no follow” code, your link isn’t picked up as a highly coveted and much sought after “backlink”.
So, I’ve installed the “DoFollow” plugin, and this cool “You Comment, I Follow” image,
designed by Randa Clay, (choose from a fine assortment of colors at her blog). This way, when someone comes to my blog, they will immediately know that comments are really appreciated and that I share the “link love” that we all so desire ![]()

Welcome to the movement! I have added you to the D-List and we’re very happy to have you there. Keep up the good work!
Hello,
Congrats, your site is now listed on the updated Do Follow List!
Regards,
Nicusor
P.S. Your do-follow image on the right side has a broken link.
Hi Nicusor,
Thanks for your work on this!
Also…thanks for the heads up on the do-follow image link. I had moved my post to a different category and forgot to change the link.
Many thanks!
Chris
Happy to have you on the board we ave added the we follow graphic as well, keep on posting! the internet needs more who believe in a good discussion!
I didn’t before, but I will now!
I had heard about this before but didn’t really understand its purpose. Thanks for explaining it clearly.
As long as you pre-moderate comments, “I follow” shouldn’t be a problem.
I’ve had the nofollow removed for some time now. But I’m just about to join the movement too! I’m going to put the logo on my blogs this evening. I think it’s a great campaign against one of the most annoying pieces of code ever.
Great! I 2 joined the a couple of days back. I am strongly feel that visitors should be rewarded for their time. Moreover, it appeared to me as a good way to increase my blog traffic and popularity.

I strongly recommended that using a DoFollow-plugin your visitors will increase by hundreds a day.
good information.
It is nice that someone takes a step into another direction, since there is many no-follow blogs theese days.
I’m pleased you support the movement! I think one of the reasons nofollow never worked was the fact that search engines actually do count nofollow links in their algos.. but just not nearly as much as follow ones. It’s been proved! Someone got to #1 in G and all he had was a ton of nofollow links.
I’m skeptical of course, but what the hell, let’s give it a try.
Best movement known to man!
