It’s been a hot topic over the last year or so.  Right now, this post has accumulated almost 750 comments!

Needless to say, when someone goes to read the post and read the comments, it’s terribly slow.  I’m really going to have to do something about it.  I’m contemplating moving everything “FHTM”, to a “forum” type format.  I think this would make it easier to read and respond.  I’m going to play around with this type of arrangement and see how it will work.  Maybe have both the blog post and the forum for a while?

Thanks to everyone that visits and comments.  I’ll post more info when I re-arrange some things.

  8. I attended a meeting last night. I have no plans to quit my job, nor do I expect FHTM to be my opportunity to be able to do that. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. BUT, I am still considering trying it out as a source of extra income. I know a few people who might be interested in trying it and think I could get three or so people. I also currently have contracts that I could renew through FHTM like my cell phone, and using the Mall, I could get that small percentage back on purchases I would be making anyway. My questions is this: is this a way to make just a little extra a month to be able to pay down my debt or will it cause me to get more in debt or not make anything? Like I said, I don’t plan on quitting my job and I don’t expect to get rich. If I wanted just a few hundred extra dollars a month and do not plan on pushing/selling this, is that possible by just “recruiting” a few people? I was thinking of trying it out for about three months to see if I could recoup my fees and make a little extra. Is it worth it?

  10. this is madness – I have a friend harassing me over the FHTM crap – I almost dont want to be her friend anymore…. i wonder if my friendship and that of others is worth the $0.01 cent she might possibly make by talking one of us into this scam…… seriously!

I wish someone could tactfully send her that message – I cant.

  12. FHTM is not something you just try and see if it works and it will work. FHTM is something you decide to do, and continue to do until you succeed if you want to make anything with it. You can contact a few people, and tell them you are doing this little thing on the side and make a million bucks… If you are not 100% convinced, why should they be? This isn’t a get rich easy scheem. It is work, you have to be willing to continue to work even when you want to give up. You have to be willing to put a good amount of hours into it if you really want to see an investment of your time back in cash. This is a real company with real people making real money. I myself just started in the company (go figure right, you already knew this) and I have friends making serious cash *whom I knew prior to FHTM* but you will only get out of it what you put into it. If you are not willing to continue to work when you get a bunch of no’s, then don’t get in because it will be a waste. However if you really want to be out of debt, and to take a vacation without saving for it for years before hand, or just to be able to do some extra things that make you less stressed or be able to have more fun, and you REALLY want to do those things and are willing to work for it. Then FHTM is the best place to be! You don’t have to convince people to switch to a brand they have never tried before, you are simply showing them an opportunity to be financially stable or in a better position than they are now. You are already doing the business, you just aren’t getting paid for it. I cannot thank my friend who showed me this enough. He gave me the opportunity to make what I am worth. Single mother of two, almost no child support, no college degree, climbing the corporate ladder just to not have a raise in the last 2 years and be under paid and over worked. I now have what I need in order to have a better life for me and my two kids. I do what needs to be done to make ends meet, but now we as a family have started to really dream again. Dream about the vacations we want to take, my daughter doesn’t have to worry about me working over time to pay for her cheerleading *I always told her not to be worried about it but she always was*… this is an awesome company, with a honest, hard working, man who has integrity and character that built this. He made more money than you can count, retired, donated his position to his church. He only started this business because he felt a calling from God. To much is given, much is required. Who doesn’t want to work with (not for) a man like that? But again, you will only get out what you put into it. It’s up to you. The only failure stories out there all end with “and then I quit”.

  20. Hey guys. My name is Brian Powers and I am a regional manager for FHTM. I don’t want to try to “pitch” this oppurtunity to anyone, I can only tell you what it has done for my wife and I. I can honestly say this company has changed our lives. I have been in it for six weeks and have already made regional manager, which is the first level of promotion. I am not making “life changing” money quite yet, but this month should be quite well for me. I could go on and on about the blessing FHTM has been for me, but i wont. If anyone is interested, feel free to contact me at brianpowerz77@gmail.com

You summed it up very well ….this company is all about helping others . When you have this attitude you will succeed . That’s what attracted me to this company…by helping others you will help yourself . Nothing comes easy in this world . I’m actually very new with this company , having signed on just last week . The support you get is amazing . And Brian ….my goal is to reach the level you’re at right now . This is a very exciting company & I’m proud to be a part of it.

  24. Eliza,
You nailed it…it is all about helping others. I have a moral obligation to everyone on my team. But, just being real, I don’t make money if they dont make money….so it is a win win. I wish you the very best in all that you do. Remember this line and you will do well…..”you make a living with what you have, but you make a life with what you give.” If you ever need any help with anything my email is brianpowerz77@gmail.com.

  28. Regardless of what the people in it say, this is still a scam. I know this because ALL pyramid schemes are against the law, and eveytime the same founders of FHTM get caught, they pay their fine, change the name and move on. They have had 30 something names since 1981. If anyone out there questions weather this is a pyramid sheme, go to the Fair Trade Commission website at http://www.ftc.gov/speeches/other/dvimf16.shtm and all your questions will be answered in the 3 first paragraphs. Notice how all who support this have only been in it for 1 year or less? Helping others my %^*(&%$%^!!! They are taking money from you-of course they are supportive! WAKE-UP, PEOPLE!!!!!

  29. Evelyn on Mon, 8th Jun 2009 11:35 pm
  30. Jane,

I want you to know that FHTM has been in business for over 8 years. No fines so far and it is also very active in Canada, the UK, Puerto Rico and all 50 states. Not quite the “fly-by-night” organization you are thinking of.
You may want to read the Success Magazine article on Paul Orberson. Best company out there.

Payment received is not only based on developing a “down line” but most of it comes through FHTM residuals/commissions major corporations pay on the monthly bills for services/items the “Customer” purchases.

The residuals (advertising dollars) are paid to FHTM by such companies as GE, SPRINT, ATT, TRAVELERS INS., DISH NETWORK, etc. These dollars are then distributed quite fairly to all in the “up-line”.

More major Fortune 500 companies are asking FHTM to market their products. This is due to the success rate FHTM has had in the MLM/Networking industry. FHTM has surpassed Radio Shack in the number of customers it signs up for Dish Network and there is a very high customer retention rate.

I myself will not quit my “day job” any time soon but I enjoy the extra income. And, who knows? Maybe one day I will be working my FHTM business full time.

The Fortune 500 companies that FHTM works with cannot afford to align themselves with questionable businesses. The risk for them would be great.

The people I know in FHTM are doing quite well and feel that FHTM has truly made a difference in their lives. That is all that counts is it not?

MLM/network marketing is not for everyone. But for those who love it or at least want to try it. It is difficult sometimes, as it would be in most sales/marketing position but I found those who have stuck with it have done well.

So, I would suggest that you look at the facts before taking aim. The page you suggested was on pyramid not networking companies like Mon Amie, Amway, or Fortune Hi Tech Marketing.

If anyone has any question you can write to me at goalsmiths@yahoo.com

    I am at your service.

    Sincerely,
    Evelyn Talmadge

  32. Sorry for being a naysayer, but Fortune is a scam if your focus is recruiting, which that is what Fortune is about.

  33. Evelyn on Thu, 11th Jun 2009 3:02 pm
  34. Again,

I am happy with the company and truly enjoy helping others set up their businesses.

Of course one needs customers as a corp. would. You must market to make money. Fortune is about marketing/selling product (like any of the major corp.) and also about forming a group of individually owned companies to do the same.

If one doesn’t like MLM’s one need not be in one. As I said it is not for everybody. Trust me, I am just as much a naysayer when it comes to most large corporations.

Because one does not want to work in an MLM one should not assume it is a scam. Some MLMs are better than others.

I really like FHTM just like I liked prepaid legal (though I could not make any money at that), and I like how FHTM pays, and enjoy all the people I have met that are involved.

You Drew, choose not to be part of it. That is a good thing too. Nobody is wrong. I try to make sure I don’t need to prove that someone is. The choice is ours to make.

    With that said,

    I wish you well.

  48. Ya Know, if i choose to NOT do what I Know I Can God CANNOT do the IMPOSSIBLE! I was rasied to love people right where they are at in life. But if i have the ability to help change lifes i will. I believe that more money you have the more responsibility God gives you too. FHTM allows an opurtunity for those to have a plan B. Now i’m a single parent of two little childeren. Who has time? when would you ever get that extra money? Kids always seem to need something lol…But i’ve learned to rely on God and he has always provided. This business has given me Hope and Dreams. Now God has even placed people in my Life for all of those dreams. If God can give me the ability to work and make money i’m goona use my extra income to help childeren. This experience has made truly thankful for all who are in my life.

And…there is a 60 day money back guarantee…so if you feel that it doesn’t work for you, get your money back.

  56. I’ve found some really good information on this site! For some reason I’m drawn to it!
Obviously, the network marketing/MLM industry is not for everyone….we do need workers in the other industries so that those of who are doing well with networking will have cars to buy, restaurants to die at, vacation spots to visit, etc.

  70. Considering how much of a response I’ve received from my last post on this website and ripoffreport.com, feel free to contact me with any questions about FHTM. Is it a scam, no. However, I also don’t practice the “only tell them what they need to know” antics of the MLM industry either. Aside from God, I believe this is the reason for my success. It is your right to know into what you’re getting yourself, so if you would like answers to your questions, and how the business operates feel free to contact me.

  74. I came accross this discussion because I am looking into joining FHTM. I have found a lot of negatives so far by doing a Google search. Just this week I have been approached by two different people about joining FHTM. I’m going to give the short version. On Monday the first person told me it was $299 to sign up at the manager level and I would have to recruit three others to get my investment back. I was seriously considering signing up at that time, however; I’m glad I didn’t, because just yesterday the same presentation was made by another individual but I was told I could sign up for only $150 and he would offer the next ten people I sign up the same discounted price. I am just a little confused as
to how the same company has two different levels of pricing for the same opportunity. Can anyone explain this?
