Excuses, Excuses!
Yeah….I could give you a million excuses why I haven’t posted any this week, 
. I can promise you that I have in fact, been busy….I promise!
Themes – I’ve been working on changing up some themes on some of my sites. You know, changing themes is relatively easy with WordPress, (one of the reasons I think WP is so cool), but I know I need to settle on themes and stick with them. I’m not real sure how the search engines view theme changes, but I’m sure it’s probably not in a positive way.
Changing themes can also be time consuming when you try to go through and make sure everything is where it’s supposed to be, no links were broken, no extra “stuff” on your pages that doesn’t need to be there. I have to admit I love trying new looks…but it can suck up a lot of your time.
Also…I need to change my header pics. I have many, many pictures to choose from after several years of snapping pictures with my digital cameras. But it’s not easy to get a picture sized properly for a header! I messed around with this on another site over the weekend and really got frustrated after a while. I think I finally got it worked out, but there was a lot of trial & error involved. I’m probably making it harder than it should be….but I typically dive into something without doing my homework and it probably costs me some time…but I learn more that way. So as you can probably tell…I haven’t taken the time to fix my headers here! I promise will!
Thanks to all those that have sent well-wishes to my wife after her surgery. I’m happy to report she is doing very well! I’ve been spending a lot of my evening time trying to cook and tend to other chores around the house so she doesn’t feel like she needs to. I think she’s getting a little “stir crazy” though.
I’ve been helping to beta test some new software that has been producing some amazing results with regards to search engine rankings. I think the product will soon be released to the public. I have to admit that I’m not sure how well received it will be just yet. As I said, results have been remarkable….but how they’re achieved may be viewed by some as not the best way to get there. Depending on how things go…I may or may not have more to share at a later date.
And…then there is always my normal “J-O-B” to attend to. (Man, I hate that word!) Ehh…I don’t even care to get in to that discussion.
So I preach to people about spreading themselves too thin, then I stop and look at what I’m doing. The main thing is that it causes stress, and I don’t perform well under stress. I love what I’m doing in the blog/web world, and the main reason I love it so much is because I work at my own pace. When I put myself in a position where I get behind in my posting, it bothers me. So the best I can do is give excuses….

Did you hear about the big to do against sponsored themes online? Your post brought that to mind…
have fun! I just finished revamping one of my blogs, next week I am doing the other, getting every little detail right is the hardest!
