Friday Night And All Is Quiet
Whats happening today/tonight? Lets see…my wife, (bless her heart), had surgery today. It was elective, outpatient surgery, but an ordeal for her just the same. The poor thing has been sleeping since we got back home this morning. She’s doing just fine and has plenty of Percocet to get her through the “hard times”. As I poured the medication in her hand earlier, I said, “one for you, one for me, one for you, one for me…ha! Just kidding!
If you’ve been to my blog before, (and hopefully you have), you’ll note that I’ve changed my theme. Previously, I was using the XMark Theme from Lisa Sabin-Wilson. I love the XMark theme that Lisa created, but I’m just not comfortable enough to go in and start changing colors in my themes, and the red was just beginning to make me twitch a little! Lisa has been so accommodating every time I’ve asked for help, I’m sure she probably would have walked me through this,….but I so hated to bother her and something inside told me that I needed to look for something new for ChrisHoyt.com. Lisa is currently finishing up work on, “WordPress for Dummies“, so I consider her an expert when it comes to WordPress! I’m still using the XMark theme for some of my other sites. Hopefully when her book is released, I can pick up a copy and start making my own changes to my own sites!
So….when I had the opportunity to get to know Don, at AffiliateWatcher.com, I really liked the Cutline theme, (created by Chris Pearson), that he had chosen for his blog, and felt like it was a theme I could “settle in with”. So I’ve been working on switching over to the new look. I’m currently using the header images that came with the theme, but intend to change them when I get a little extra time. So far, I really like it! Of course…it’s like anytime I get something new…I’m like a kid at Christmas you know! That’s one of the reasons I think WordPress is so cool! So much great stuff to choose from…themes, plugins, etc.!
So thats it for a Friday. I hope you have had a great week!
Chris
